Details: Team India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 2nd and final game against Ireland at The Rose Bowl, Southampton. England scored huge 257/3 in their 20 overs after batting first. They have delivered a batting masterclass. After India struck early to remove Phil Salt, the visitors quickly lost control as Jos Buttler and Harry Brook took complete charge. The duo stitched together a breathtaking partnership, dismantling the Indian bowling attack with fearless strokeplay. Brook was the aggressor early on, racing to a blistering half-century off just 19 deliveries, while Buttler took a comparatively measured route to his fifty. However, once Buttler reached his fifty, he shifted through the gears and unleashed an extraordinary assault, sending the bowlers to every corner of the ground with seemingly effortless ease. Buttler brought up a magnificent century in the 16th over, while Brook scored 95*, capping off a sensational display of power-hitting. India’s struggles were compounded by a disappointing effort in the field. Several catches went down, allowing both batters to make the most of their reprieves. The bowlers did create opportunities, but once again, as has been the case throughout the series, the lack of support from the fielders proved costly. Should England win today, the No. 1 spot in the T20I rankings could be theirs. Jos Buttler scored 131 runs of 64 balls and skipper Harry Brook scored 95* runs in 45 balls. For Team India, Shivam Dube picked 2 wickets for 22 runs in his only over.

Team India unable to chase the target and scored 201/8 in 20 overs and lost the game by 56 runs and series by 0-4. Calling it a series to forget would be an understatement. The whole tour, in fact. Six matches, six losses and Iyer is yet to open his account after taking over the captaincy. Today was just another hammering. India was long done with the last few weeks coming into this one, but Jos Buttler and Harry Brook had one last sendoff lying in wait. A record 233-run stand to knock the stuffing out of them for good measure. India did show some fight in the chase, but they were always up against the rate and never really threatened to get close. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma played well for their fifties. But not much else to take from this. Ishan Kishan scored 56 runs of 35 balls and Tilak Varma score 53 runs of 25 balls. For England, Sam Curran picked 3 wickets for 36 runs in his 4 overs quota.
