Gujarat Titans scored 155/8 in their 20 overs after batting first. This is a magnificent bowling performance from the men from Bengaluru, and they will believe that they can chase down this score. Coincidentally, 155 was the exact score RCB managed when these two teams last met here during the league phase. Will that chirp up the Gujarat Titans? They were asked to bat first, they were happy to bat with Shubman Gill reasoning that runs on the board in a big final could be vital. But RCB’s bowlers had other ideas: they bowled short and into the pitch, hitting hard lengths and giving the batters no chance. Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Nishant Sindhu, Rahul Tewatia, Jason Holder and Rashhid Khan, all fell to short deliveries. In between, Washington Sundar fought hard, was given an early reprieve and went on to make a 37-ball 50*. Will his runs prove to be the difference? GT have a bowling attack that will like these conditions – in Rabada, Holder and probably Prasidh, they have the tall bowlers to make a difference, but they’ll have to be at their best if they’re to defend 155. Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar were outstanding, Rashikh was good and Krunal was outstanding in the middle overs. Washington Sundar scored 50* runs of 37 balls and Nishant Sindhu scored 20 runs in 18 balls. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rasikh Salam Dar picked 3 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased down the target by scoring 161/5 in 18 overs and won the title again after 2025. They came all guns blazing. Venkatesh Iyer suffered a blow on his right knee in the first over and he decided to go after the GT pacers. In fact, both the openers took the attack to them and the in-form GT new-ball bowlers couldn’t exert any sort of pressure. RCB did lose a couple of wickets, but they raced to 70 in the powerplay. While the asking rate was well under control, Rashid Khan brought some life into the contest with two wickets in his first over. Kohli, the man who has been part of the RCB set-up since the inception of the IPL, looked determined. He recorded his fastest IPL fifty (off 25 balls) and despite struggling from cramps, he remained unbeaten till the end to take his team home. Virat Kohli scored 75* runs of 42 balls and Venkatesh Iyer score 32 runs of 16 balls. For Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan picked 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.
