Rajasthan Royals scored 188/6 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. Surely RR have got enough, haven’t they? After a below-par second half, the main man Buttler comes good just at the right time for RR. Despite losing Jaiswal early, Buttler was slow in the powerplay as Samson came and played a shot-a-ball. That was never going to last long as the RR skipper fell to the SLA of Sai Kishore. Padikkal looked in good touch too but went to Joseph. All this while Buttler was knocking the ball around and generally struggling for timing and fluency. But luck began to favor him and he opened out in a big way towards the end and made a fantastic 89. The last 4 overs of GT were ragged as catches were dropped and misfields made due to the pressure put on by Buttler. Those last 4 overs produced 60 and pushed RR closer to the 190 mark. Amidst all of this, Rashid Khan was outstanding and troubled all the batsmen with his variations. RR just played him out and then cashed in against the other bowlers. Jos Buttler scored 89 runs of 56 balls and Skipper Sanju Samson scored 47 runs of 26 balls. For GT, Pandya, Yash Dayal, Sai Kishore & Shami pick 1 wicket each.
𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸!@josbuttler's 89 & Captain @IamSanjuSamson's 47 power @rajasthanroyals to 188/6. 👏 👏
The @gujarat_titans chase to commence soon. 👍 👍

Gujarat Titans chased down the target successfully by scoring 191/3 in 19.3 overs. Gujarat, in their maiden IPL campaign, are through to the final as they chase down a target that had seemed formidable at the halfway stage. And this is no come-from-behind win like the many they pulled off during the league stages. They were in control of the chase for the majority of it. Right from Gill‘s takedown of Ashwin in the powerplay, to Pandya batting so fluently to snatch the momentum back after a couple of quick wickets, and then to Miller just going into beast mode towards the end when Royals thought they might’ve had a chance. This season has been a story of Miller’s revival in the IPL among other things, and he’s taken his team home with a superb knock. David Miller scored 68* runs of 38 balls and Skipper Hardik Pandya score 40* runs of 27 balls. For RR, Boult & McCoy pick 1 wicket each.
Congratulations to the @gujarat_titans as they march into the Final in their maiden IPL season! 👏 👏
