Tata IPL: PBKS finished the campaign on a high after beating SRH by 5 wickets in 70th game of Tata IPL. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

70th game (Punjab Kings Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Game Date: 22nd May 2022
Details:
Sunrisers Hyderabad stand-in captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and elected to bat first in the 70th game of IPL 2022 against Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. SRH made Two change and Romario Shephard and Jagadeesha Suchith are playing in the place of Kane Williamson & T. Natarajan.

DC made three changes and Nathan Ellis, Shahrukh Khan and debutant Prerak Mankad are included in the place of Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Rahul Chahar and Rishi Dhawan.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 157/8 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. 58 runs off the last 4 overs as SRH end on a high. Earlier Garg went early and Tripathi and Abhishek found it tough in the powerplay on a slowish pitch. But they stuck it out and just when both batters were upping the ante, they fell. Markram and Pooran fell cheaply too and suddenly SRH were 96/5 but Shepherd and Washington Sundar blitzed a couple of big overs to pump up the total. Due to their efforts SRH got over 150. They have a total to bowl at and will be an interesting chase. Abhishek Sharma scored 43 runs of 32 balls and Romario Shepherd scored 26* runs of 15 balls. For PBKS, Harpreet Brar & Nathan Ellis pick 3 wickets each.

Punjab Kings chased down the target successfully by scoring 160/5 in 15.1 overs. A comfortable victory for PBKS as they finish their IPL 2022 campaign on a high. Electing to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t get off to an auspicious start, losing an early wicket. But Abshishek Sharma played a decent knock despite losing his opening partner early. Punjab Kings took wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings, and although Shepherd played a cameo, the Kings were able to restrict them to a total below 160. Ellis bowled a fantastic end over and Brar also took three crucial wickets. In reply, PBKS came out with an aggressive approach and maintained the same approach throughout the innings. Dhawan anchored the innings from one end for most part of it, until he was dismissed by Farooqi. However, Bairstow, Shahrukh, Jitesh chipped in with handy cameos. And Livingstone was absolutely destructive as he thrashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He was dropped several times, and with that kind of a display in the field, SRH had no chance to win the game. Liam Livingstone scored 49* runs of 35 balls and Shikhar Dhawan score 39 runs of 32 balls. For SRH, Fazalhaq Farooqi picks 2 wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs quota.
