In this post, I am sharing the updated Confirmed list of Movies and Web-Series releasing in May 2024 on OTT and Cinemas. After a low number of releases in the last month we have a very low number of releases in this month as well due to elections and IPL. Although we have good OTT releases and as this new month is bringing a slew of new shows and series that you simply cannot afford to miss. The release dates may vary because this information is solely based on the announcements made by the producers/production companies.
There are still few movies are premiering on digital platform instead of cinemas to avoid clashes. For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema hall after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It will double bonanza for audiences as they can watch the films on OTT as well as cinemas of their choice.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month on OTT and Theatres:
1. Heeramandi (Web-Series)
Release Date: 1st May 2024 on Netflix
Cast: Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal
Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Details: With a backdrop of the Indian independence movement against the British Raj in the 1910s-1940s, series chronicles the lives of tawaifs of the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore.
2. The Broken News 2 (Movie)
Release Date: 3rd May 2024 on Zee5
Cast: Varun Tej, Manushi Chhillar, Navdeep and Mir Sarwar
Director: Vinay Waikul
Details: The battle between Awaaz Bharati and Josh 24×7 continues even outside the newsroom, with Radha waging a personal war. With the line between truth and sensationalism blurring, what lies ahead?
3. Shaitaan (Movie)
Release Date: 8th March 2024 in Cinemas & 4th May 2024 on Netflix

Release Date: 10th May 2024 in Cinemas
Cast: Rajkummar Rao, Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar
Director: Tushar Hiranandani
Details: The biopic tells the story of Srikanth Bolla who is an Indian entrepreneur and gained prominence as the founder of Bollant Industries.
5. Undekhi Season 3 (Web-Series)
Release date: 10th May 2024 on Sony LIV
Cast: Harsh Chhaya, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Surya Sharma, Ankur Rathee, Ayn Zoya, Aanchal Singgh, Shivangi Singh and Varun Badola

9. Savi (Movie)
Release Date: 31st May 2024 in Cinema
Cast: Anil Kapoor, Divya Khossla and Harshvardhan Rane
Director: Abhinay Deo
Details: The teaser will be released on May 6 and will give a glimpse into the world of the film and setting the stage for its much-anticipated premiere. The movie is also known by its intriguing subtitle, “A Bloody Housewife,” hinting at the intense and dramatic storyline that awaits viewers.
10. Mr And Mrs Mahi (Movie)
Release Date: 31st May 2024 in Cinema
Cast: Rajkummar Rao & Janhvi Kapoor
Director: Sharan Sharma
Details: Film is based on life story of cricketer and former team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Teaser/Trailer of this movie is not out yet.
