IDFC First Bank T20I Series 2023: Team India defended their lowest target against Australia and clinch the series by 4-1. They won the game by 5th and final T20I by 6 runs at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

5th T20I (India Vs Australia)
Game Date: 3rd December 2023
Details:
Australian skipper Matthew Wade won the toss and elected to field first in the 5th and final game of T20I series against Team India at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. One changes in Indian Team and Arshdeep Singh is playing in the place of Deepak Chahar who didn’t play due to medical emergency.

Team India scored 160/9 in their 20 overs after batting first. India have done well to get to 160 on a slow tacky pitch. 45 off the last four overs and 26 off the last two. Shreyas Iyer held the innings and then opened out at the end. Earlier Jaiswal looked threatening but fell to a short of length delivery trying to pull and then a steady flow of wickets followed. Failures for SKY and Rinku put India in a spot of bother but Jitesh and Shreyas strung a stand before Axar came out and played a superb knock. Shreyas was not hitting sixers for fun against the spinners but chose the right ball to go after. The Aussies realised the pitch was slow and went with a lot of cutters. We have seen in the series that Australia have struggled against spin. Should be an interesting chase. Shreyas Iyer scored 53 runs of 37 balls and Axar Patel scored 31 runs of 21 balls. For Australia, Ben Dwarshuis & Behrendorff picked 3 wickets each.

Australia unable to chase the target and scored 154/8 in their 20 overs. India 4 – 1 Australia! The hosts have defended 160 on a track where stroke-making wasn’t easy. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 53 and cameos from Jitesh & Axar helped India post a competitive total on the board. In reply, Travis Head wasted little time to get going. He kicked off the chase with three successive boundaries to put the Indian bowlers under pressure. Despite losing Philippe cheaply, Australia got off to a blazing start scoring 40 runs off the first four overs which forced SKY to turn to spin. Ravi Bishnoi conceded a six off his fourth ball with Head dispatching him over deep midwicket, but the wrist-spinner got his revenge off his very next ball as he castled the dangerman. The scoring rate dipped significantly as the spinners applied the brakes bowling six overs on the bounce. Ben McDermott scored 54 of 36 balls and Travis Head scored 28 runs of 18 balls. For Team India, Mukesh Kumar picked 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs quota.
