Team India scored 289/8 in their 50 overs after batting first. A superb maiden ODI ton from Shubman Gill and his partnership of 140 for the third wicket with fellow half-centurion Ishan Kishan has given India a good total. After deciding to bat first, breaking away from the norm from the first two games, India got off to a cautious start with both Rahul and Dhawan circumspect against the swinging and seaming ball. Rahul fell for 30 and Dhawan for 40 but it was the third-wicket stand that really set the platform. Gill in particular was a treat to the eyes with his strokeplay as he showed he was a cut above the rest on a pitch where the others took their time to settle in. He scored his maiden ODI ton after missing out in West Indies recently due to rain robbing him. Today he did not put a foot wrong as he sauntered to that landmark. Ishan too fed off Gill as he reached 50 but the late innings kick did not come as Zimbabwe fought back well with the ball. Brad Evans with a five-fer and a richly deserved one too for he got the main batters out. Just 33 runs off the last 4 overs as wickets fell. Still India have a score on the board and will be favorites to defend against an under-fire Zimbabwean batting lineup. Shubman Gill scored 130 runs of 97 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 50 runs of 61 balls. For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans picks 5 wickets for 54 runs in his 10 overs quota.
A brilliant CENTURY for @ShubmanGill 👏👏

Zimbabwe unable to chase the target and bowled out for 276 runs in 49.3 overs and lost the game by 13 runs. An incredible fighting knock from Raza, but India prevail to inflict a 3-0 series whitewash on Zimbabwe. In reply, the hosts lost Innocent Kaia early and Kaitano had to retire hurt. Sean Williams scored briskly by hitting a flurry of boundaries but his innings was cut short by Axar Patel in his first over. The two left-arm spinners bowled really well in the middle overs as they finished with combined figures of 20-1-68-4. Zimbabwe looked down and out at 169/7, but Raza had other ideas. He never gives up and that was the case again today as he notched up his third hundred in his last six ODIs. He played some outstanding stokes and put the Indians, the pacers in particular, under immense pressure. Brad Evans, who picked a fifer with the ball, turned out be a handy with the bat as he and Raza were involved in a century partnership for the eighth wicket. With 17 needed off the last two overs, Zimbabwe were the favourites, but Gill took a blinder at long-on to end Raza’s innings and that turned out to be the killer blow. Avesh Khan, in the end, bowled a perfect yorker to finish the formalities as India eked out a 13-run win. The crowd were truly entertained by Raza but they’ll be gutted with the result. Sikandar Raza scored 115 of 95 balls and Sean Williams scored 45 runs of 46 balls. For Team India, Avesh Khan pick 3 wickets for 66 runs in his 9.3 overs.
