Vivo IPL: DC beat MI by 6 wickets in the 13th game of IPL 2021. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

13th Game (Delhi Capitals Vs Mumbai Indians)
Game Date: 20th April 2021
Details:
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in the 13th game of IPL 2021 against Delhi Capitals. MI made one change in their playing XI and included Jayant Yadav in place of Adam Milen. Their 3 foreign players for the game are Kieron Pollard, Quinton de Kock and Trent Boult.

DC made two changes in their playing XI and included Amit Mishra and Shimron Hetmyer in place of Lukman Meriwala and Chris Woakes. Their four foreign players of this game are Steven Smith, Kagiso Rabada, Marcus Stoinis and Shimron hetmyer.

Mumbai Indians scored 137/9 in their 20 overs. They willbe disappointed as from 67/1 in the seventh over with Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav looking really good, it was down to the same old Chepauk story spinners ripping it big, the pitch suddenly looking different, and the batsmen just crumbling to end up with a 17 runs | 5 wickets collapse at one stage. And had it not been for some sensible batting from Jayant Yadav, it could’ve been worse. Anyway, it’s a night that’s Amit Mishra‘s, producing a four-fer and mixing it up really well to outfox the batsmen. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 44 of 30 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 26 of 28 balls. For DC Amit Mishra picks 4 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Delhi Capitals chased down the target successfully by scoring 138/4 in 19.1 overs and won the game 6 wickets. So this was too low a target for even MI’s bowlers to defend. They tried. The game turned into a scrap until the final couple of overs. But those couple of no-balls from Bumrah in the penultimate one were just too hard to offset. The blame lies in the batting though, with their middle-order once again coming a cropper. It’s surely a concern but they’ll probably back themselves to fire once they move out of Chepauk. The win for DC was set up by Amit Mishra‘s brilliant spell through the middle overs. He’s just remarkable in the IPL isn’t he. It left them with a target of 138, and despite struggling for timing today, Shikhar Dhawan stayed there long enough, set the platform with Smith and from there a couple of cameos down the order were all DC needed. Shikhar Dhawan scored 45 of 42 balls and Steven Smith scored 33 of 29 balls. For MI Jayant Yadav, Bumrah, Pollard and Chahar picks 1 wicket each.

MI: 137/9 in 20 overs
DC: 138/4 in 19.1 overs

Result: Delhi Capiatls won by 6 wickets
Man of the Match: Amit Mishra

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to DC for their first win of in last 5 matches against mighty Mumbai Indians. Incredible bowling from Amit Mishra who was included in this game. At one time MI was set for big total but excellent bowling by Mishra and good support from other DC bowlers restrict MI to their lowest score of this season. Batsmen successfully chased down the target with few hiccups at the end. Overall a complete performance.

For MI it was middle order batsmen who are not able to contribute much in this season so far and this is really big concern for Mumbai Indians. They have won two low scoring matches all because of their bowlers who are performing exceptionally. Pandya brothers, Ishan Kishan need to finish the overs with the support of other batsmen and Quinny and Pollard need to be more consistent. Hoping for a good performance from this team in next game.

Stats
Delhi Capitals last won in Chepauk way back in 2010. They’ve lost six games at the venue albeit to the home team, Chennai Super Kings.

That’s all from 13th game of the IPL 2021 and hope you all will like this information. We will be back tomorrow with all the details of 14th and 15th game as tomorrow will be 2nd double header which will played between between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
