Team India scored huge 283/1 in their 20 overs. An extraordinary batting performance by the Men in Blue in the final T20I of the series. This has been absolute carnage. Second highest T20 total for India. Their highest total against South Africa. Two batters getting hundreds, record 200+ partnership, 23 sixes smashed, people not safe in the crowd and the opposition flattened. Pure box office! India had been threatening to breach that 250-mark in this series, and they have finally done it. The openers got them off to a blazing start and there was no looking back even after Abhishek’s dismissal. The hero from the first game and the hero from the third joined hands to put on a show for the Jo’burg crowd. The duo matched each other shot for shot and competed as to who would get there hundred first. Tilak raced ahead due to farming the strike for most parts at the later stage, but Samson too got his moment. South Africa were once again indiscipline, sloppy and plain ordinary in both departments. They now have to rely on their batters to eclipse what Samson and Tilak have done. If they can then it would be a stunning chase. Tilak Varma scored 120* runs of 47 balls and Sanju Samson scored 109* runs of 56 balls. For South Africa, Lutho Sipamla picked only fallen wicket.

South Africa unable to chase this mammoth target and bowled out for 148 runs in 18.2 overs and lost the game by 135 runs and series by 1-3. It looked a totally different wicket when India took the ball in the 2nd innings. Arshdeep Singh was in a league of his own as he swung the ball both ways and it was too hot to handle for the hosts. They were reduced to 10/4 and the contest ended there after just 3 overs. It was all about saving face for South Africa after that as Miller and Stubbs began the rebuild. The duo added 86 before Chakaravarthy ended things by getting Miller. Stubbs went next ball to Bishnoi and India closed it out as they bowled South Africa out in the 19th over. Jansen again showed his all-round skills with the bat as he hit a few good blows. The way India came out with the ball with Arshdeep in particular and the way the pitch behaved too – when it seamed and swung a lot decided the game on the back of a massive score to back it up for the visitors. All the six bowlers that India used ended up in the wicket’s column. Tristan Stubbs scored 43 of 29 balls and David Miller scored 36 runs of 27 balls. For Team India, Arshdeep Singh picked 3 wickets for 20 runs in his 3 overs.
