Rajasthan Royals scored 164/5 runs in their 20 overs. A limping finish from the Royals with less than run-a-ball coming off the last 12 balls. A score of 170-plus looked a formality with Samson in top gear at the back end but he didn’t get the needed support with Lomror struggling big time. Bhuvi and Kaul bowled brilliant final overs too, to ensure that the score didn’t reach intimidating levels. Still a competitive score this for RR and they have their captain to thank. Samson started on a subdued note but switched gears effortlessly and played some eye-catching shots in his knock. It was Jaiswal‘s cameo that gave the early impetus before Samson took over. Lomror did get some runs but he and the RR camp will surely wish that he had gotten a few more at the back end. SRH will fancy this chase but they aren’t in the best of form. Let’s see how they go. Sunrisers Hyderabad successfully chase the target by scoring 167/3 in 18.3 overs. The SRH camp looks a happy bunch and they are jumping and hollering all over the place in the stands. Shows how much this victory means to them, A young fan, tight-lipped, waves the Orange flag with an air of relief. SRH have just shown the way to chase on this ground. Yesterday, MI faltered chasing a similar total after a rollicking powerplay and today SRH, not just held their nerve, but approached this with an aggressive mindset ably helped by one of the best T20 openers in the world, Jason Roy. The English opener smacked a 42-ball 60 at the top and all they needed post that brilliant innings was a touch of calmness which the skipper provided with a 41-ball 51 to guide his side home with 9 balls to spare. There was a slight moment of panic after SRH lost 2 quick wickets in the middle overs, but the 21 year-old Abhishek Sharma showed great maturity to stitch a near 50-run stand with Williamson.
