RCB beat RR by 10 wickets-cricketmovie.com

Vivo IPL: RCB beat RR by 10 wickets in the 16th game of IPL 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

16th Game (Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Rajasthan Royals)
Game Date: 22nd April 2021
Details:
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first in the 16th game of IPL 2021 against Rajasthan Royals. RCB made one change in their playing XI and included Kane Richardson in place of Rajat Patidar. Their 4 foreign players for the game are AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Kyle Jamieson and Kane Richardson.

RR also made one change in their playing XI and rested Jaydev Unadkat and included Shreyas Gopal in playing XI. Their four foreign players of this game are David Miller, Jos Buttler, Chris Morris and Mustafizur Rahman.

Rajasthan Royals scored 177/9 runs their 20 overs. Defintely below par at this venue. But RR did so well to recover from 43/4 and post a respectable total. You never know, if they get Virat, Maxi, AB early, it could be interesting. Siraj started the show with a bang by knocking over Buttler and then brilliantly convincing Kohli for an LBW review against Miller. Jamieson bowled economically until the last ball six. Kane Richardson bowled a good third over. Harshal Patel bowled very well in his last two overs nailing yorkers and bowling some good slower balls. Siraj too came back to get the important wicket of Tewatia. It was Dube who started the rebulilding phase with Parag. Added 66 with the youngster before perishing for 46 and then Tewatia played some delightful shots. Shivam Dube scored 46 of 32 balls and Rahul Tewatia scored 40 of 23 balls. For RCB Patel and Siraj pick 3 wickets each.

Royal Challengers Bangalore chased down the target without losing the game and scoring 181/0 in 16.3 overs. There are wins and there are wins like these. Teams dream of such performances. RCB have just swept side RR with brutal precision. 177 was always below-par at the Wankhede but nobody expected the Bangalore openers to make such a mockery of the total. Padikkal’s strokeplay was dazzling from the word go, allowing Kohli to settle and the latter also hit top gear later on in the innings. It was the young left-hander’s game though, and he fittingly produced a superb ton. Kohli too got a form-inducing half century and the target was chased down with 21 balls left without a single wicket lost. Dominant, ruthless or anything you want to name it. RR’s bowlers were erratic, and on such a pitch, that was a non-bailable offence. They will need to do some soul searching now after this loss. Devdutt Padikkal scored 101* of 52 balls and skipper Virat Kohli scored 72* of 47 balls. For RR no any bowlers pick any wickets.

RR: 177/9 in 20 overs
RCB: 181/0 in 16.3 overs

Result: Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 10 wickets
Man of the Match: Devdutt Paddikal

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to RCB for their forth consecutive victory and become no.1 in the points table. They are playing their best game in this season and this is first time RCB have won all first four games in the IPL history. Excellent bowling by Siraj and good support by Patel at the end. After that incredible unbeaten partnership between by Skipper Kohli and Paddikal ensures their 4th back to back win.

For RR this is back to back losses and now they are at last position in the points table. RR’s bowlers were erratic, and on such a pitch, that was a non-bailable offence. They will need to do some soul searching now after this loss. Their top order batsmen are not consistent and today also lost all 4 quick wickets under 10 overs and all thanks to middle order batsmen who takes their team to good position but bowling was very ordinary and lost the game. All the best further games.
