Punjab Kings scored 166/6 runs their 20 overs. 23 runs in the last over and that could well be the momentum shift that the Kings needed. With KL indisposed, Mayank stood in as the capatin and he’s played the role that KL usually does took his time, assesed the conditions and went into overdrive in the final few overs. He didn’t get much of a support Prabhsimran and Gayle fell early, Malan stood around, but couldn’t lift the rate, Hooda was dismissed after a misunderstanding, Shahrukh and Jordan couldn’t apply the finishing touches, but Mayank stood calm. reached his half-century off 37 balls and then smashed the rest in a mere 21 balls. Avesh was outstanding in the 18th over, but wilted under pressure in the last. Three wickets for Rabada, but Delhi find themselves chasing a decent target. On form, they should, but can Mayank make his captaincy debut this season with a win? Mayank Agarwal scored 99* of 58 balls and Dawid Malan scored 26 of 26 balls. For DC Kagiso Rabada pick 3 wickets for 36 runs in his 4 overs quota.
Innings Break: A spectacular knock from @mayankcricket (99 from 58) guides @PunjabKingsIPL to 166/6. #DC had kept it tight until the final over, which fetched 23 runs.https://t.co/Rm0jfZKXXT #PBKSvDC #VIVOIPL #IPL2021 pic.twitter.com/cnCNNn5Vd2

Delhi Capitals successfully chased down the target by scoring 167/3 in 17.4 overs and won the game by 7 wicktes. Hetmyer tucks his bat under his arm-pit and it’s all over here. A walk in the park for Delhi and they pick up consecutive wins. The dug-out is all smiles as they revel in by exchanging hi-fives and hugs. The in-form openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan took the sting out of the chase in the first six overs, putting up a 50-plus partnership. Harpreet Brar raised Punjab’s hopes by striking off his very first ball to remove Shaw. But Smith and Dhawan anchored the ship, paced it beautifully sans much risks and trimmed down the equation. Pant was his usual self and looked in a hurry before throwing his wicket when DC were touching distance away from victory. Hetmyer applied the finishing touches but it was Dhawan, who batted deep and remained unbeaten on 69 to take his side home with 14 balls to spare. Shikhar Dhawan scored 69 of 47 balls and Prithvi Shaw scored 39 of 22 balls. For PBKS Meredith, Brar and Jordan picks 1 wicket each.
All Over: @DelhiCapitals beat #PBKS by 7 wickets and with 14 balls to spare to register their 2nd consecutive win. Opener @SDhawan25 finishes unbeaten on 69. #DC have lost only 1 of their last 5 games. https://t.co/Rm0jfZKXXT #PBKSvDC #VIVOIPL #IPL2021 pic.twitter.com/apKB5wS3X7
