Team India scored 198/8 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. On a belter of a pitch, India have posted 198 after opting to bat. Rohit got his team off to a flier by hitting five boundaries inside three overs. Moeen Ali nipped out both the openers but India still managed to score 66 in the powerplay. Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav batted aggressively and both of them perished in their 30s to Chris Jordan. Hardik Pandya scored at a brisk rate and brought up his maiden T20I half-century off 30 deliveries. At 178/5, India would have eyed 210-220 with Hardik and DK at the crease. But the England pacers pulled things back in the last three overs as they conceded just 20 runs and picked three wickets in the process. Jordan was the pick of the bowlers for England with excellent bowling figures of 2/23 off his four overs. Hardik Pandya scored 51 runs of 33 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 39 runs of 19 balls. For England, Chris Jordan & Moeen Ali picks 2 wickets each.
Innings Break!
After electing to bat first #TeamIndia post a total of 198/8 on the board.

England unable to chased the target and bowled out for 148 runs in 19.3 overs. Big smile on the faces on the Indian players. Rohit, Hooda and SKY set the tone during and after powerplay. Hardik ensured that start wasn’t wasted. The key for India’s success today was them not taking their foot off the pedal for most parts of the innings. They did feel the absence of extra batting muscle towards the end as England finished strong to keep it under 200. But in the process, Hardik picked up an important lesson. He saw the likes of Topley, Jordan bowl hard length and trouble the batters. Used the same theory when he got the ball in hand. Bowled seam-up. Even Shami will be proud of the way the seam landed upright and he had four wickets to rattle England’s batting completely. Moeen Ali scored 36 runs of 20 balls and Chris Jordan scored 26* runs of 17 balls. For Team India, Hardik Pandya pick 4 wickets for 33 runs in his 4 overs quota.
A fifty with the bat, and four wickets with the ball!
