Torbaaz Movie Review: It will highlight the importance of hope even in the most tragic circumstances

Just watched Torbaaz movie on Netflix. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Story: It is the story of one man who rises above his personal tragedy and decides to take matters in his own hands. He’s determined to coach refugee camp kids in cricket, who are otherwise destined to become suicide bombers
Naseer Khan (Sanjay Dutt) is an ex-army doctor who loses his wife and son in a suicide bombing attack in Afghanistan. Five years later, he’s invited back to Afghanistan by Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) to help with the NGO, Tomorrow’s Hope, set up by his late wife Meera. The NGO works towards rehabilitating and supporting refugee children and their families. Hesitant at first, Naseer agrees to put his trauma behind him to help the children. He decides to train them in cricket with a hope to transform their lives through joy and purpose.
Resisted by the Army and the Taliban headed by Qazar (Rahul Dev) who is hell-bent on turning every child into a suicide bomber, promising him ‘jannat” as a reward, Naseer fights on and forms a cricket team with refugee kids and calls it Torbaaz. Which will challenge the more provisional under-16 Kabul Cricket Academy players. What happens next and will he succeed in his mission is all about the movie.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer it looks very good and very connecting due to it’s story which is based on true event. But unfortunately movie is not that good that I had expected after watching the trailer. First half of the movie is very stretched and boring but it will keep you engage in 2nd and a very good climax will give you good finish.
It is a heartwarming tale that showcases the plight of the children living in refugee camps, how they are brainwashed by terrorists and turned into suicide bombers.
Overall watch this movie for it’s intent and refreshing story on terrorism. It is a well-intended and heart-warming tale that deserved better treatment but you should give a watch. Recommended
