Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on OTT because trailer looks just good for me so skipped theatrical watch.
An ex-Interpol officer wreaks havoc and sends shock waves across the global underworld but goes missing in action, only to remerge years later, for his beloved family.
The Ghost sounds like a proper action thriller with emotional undertones. However, the film ends up as a lackluster story with hardly anything to keep it going. The story travels from Arabia to Dubai to Goa to Mumbai to Ooty. So does the screenplay. It travels to different places but doesn’t make a mark anywhere. Every so-called twist and surprise barely scratch the surface and doesn’t invoke any emotion, let alone positive. The climax, however, ends up being unintentionally funny. This is where this film falters. The lack of solid emotional connect and a ridiculous climax undo everything that had been built so far. The action sequences composed in this film are one of the best in recent times and definitely they deserve a special mention. They look stylish and give us goosebump moments.
The story gets predictable after a point in the latter hour and the screenplay from thereon doesn’t get any better to make the proceedings interesting. There are some mind-boggling scenes in between but the way they are placed doesn’t add much value. While the film is just so brilliant with the action part, the drama and the story aren’t that great and brings down the staggering impact created by fights. The emotional angle looks artificial and a bit forced, and this does not connect us with the film that well.
The film is completely filled with many such terrific action scenes, and this makes us glued to the screens.
Overall, there are good shots, some excellent BGM work, and nice action, but nothing comes together as a whole to leave one impressed. It is a wasted opportunity considering the resources at disposal. My view on this movie Time Pass only If you love watching action flicks and big fan of Nagarjuna.
