PBKS beat CSK by 54 runs in IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: PBKS beat CSK by 54 runs in the 11th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

11th game (Punjab Kings Vs Chennai Super Kings)
Game Date: 3rd April 2022
Details:
Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 11th game of IPL 2022 against Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. One change in CSK and Chris Jordan is playing in the place of Tushar Deshpande and 2 change in PBKS playing XI & Vaibhav Arora comes in place of Harpreet Brar, Jitesh Sharma comes in place of Raj Bawa.

Punjab Kings scored 180/8 in their 20 overs after batting first. Outstanding death-overs bowling from CSK! Just 38 runs off the last six overs. Punjab, forced to bat, came out with an aggressive approach. Mayank hit a boundary off the very first ball but chipped the very next ball and perished. Rajapaksa was involved in a mix-up and despite losing two early wickets, PBKS went after the CSK bowlers. Liam Livingstone was the aggressor-in-chief in the 95-run third wicket stand with Dhawan. The Englishman smashed five sixes to notch up a 27-ball fifty. CSK fought back by removing both the set batters in quick succession. Jitesh Sharma, on debut, showcased his power-hitting skills but fell playing a cute shot. The three overseas bowlers Jordan, Pretorius and Bravo bowled cleverly to restrict their opponents to a below-par score, courtesy yorkers and slower ones. Liam Livingstone scored 60 runs of 32 balls and Shikhar Dhawan scored 33 runs of 24 balls. For CSK, Chris Jordan & Pretorius pick 2 wickets each.

Chennai Super Kings unable to chased the target and scored only 157/9 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 14 runs. A fantastic defence by the Titans. At the break, 171 was spoken off as a competitive total but wasn’t touted to be a match-winning score. It was one of those totals that could go either way result-wise. Titans though, started brilliantly with early strikes, and seemed like they would pocket a comfortable win. Pant and Lalit had other ideas, counter-punching in a breezy stand that had put the chase firmly on track. The required rate also reduced considerably, and Gujarat were under pressure. A run out, that of Lalit, gave them an opening and then their bowlers got them back into the game with wickets at regular intervals. Ferguson, Rashid and Shami, the wicket-taking trio did their job brilliantly for Hardik whose captaincy was terrific. Delhi were guilty of being casual in their approach with the bat, this was a game they should have won once Pant and Lalit got stuck in, but not to be. Skipper Rishabh Pant scored 43 runs of 29 balls and Lalit Yadav score 25 runs of 22 balls. For GT, Lockie Ferguson pick 4 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs.

PBKS: 180/8 in 20 overs
