One change in RR playing XI and they have included Karun Nair in the place of Daryl Mitchell.

Rajasthan Royals scored 152/5 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. RR get 30 off the last 2 overs but still it is below par total. Buttler was strangely subdued at the start while Padikkal had another failure. Samson came in and was the one who was looking to take the aggressive route. A good catch ended Buttler and then Samson injured his back, which caused him pain and restricted his mobility and ability to go big. He played one of his slowest IPL innings to get to his fifty before holing out. At the end, Hetmyer looted runs to get RR above 150. Once again for KKR, Umesh and Narine were excellent while Southee had a rough night. Skipper strong>Sanju Samson scored 54 runs of 49 balls and Shimron Hetmyer scored 27* runs of 13 balls. For KKR, Tim Southee pick 2 wickets for 46 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Kolkata Knight Riders successfully chased the target and scored 158/3 in 19.1 overs and won the game by 7 wickets. And Kolkata manage to steer clear of Mumbai. They’re probably going down, and they’re surely up against a mountain in their bid to qualify, but they stay more in the CSK zone. And they have these two pretty young, long-term loyalists to thank, who not saw them home, but upped the scoring at a time when things were looking tricky. Clearly this wasn’t a 152-pitch, but with the kind of powerplay that KKR had where they lose both their openers and started off overcautiously, they’d be pleased. Iyer laid the platform, fell to a pretty soft strangle down the leg-side; Rana was the one who gave the chase some momentum when he took Ashwin apart in the eleventh over and Rinku was in the zone right from the start. It’s been an old complaint, but Samson would really need to think how he uses his spinners. Leaving Chahal for the 18th over might sound aggressive, but on most days, is only going to backfire.
