India scored 151/7 in their 20 overs. India will be happy to get 151 from where they were but it’s only about par. Pakistan won’t be too disappointed. It’s one of those inbetween totals that can go either way and that is good in way because it makes the game interesting if India are in the game with the ball too. So Pakistan came out with a lot of fire. Shaheen bowled an unplayable inswinging toe-crusher to get Rohit first ball he faced. And then he got onto to nip back in and sneak through KL Rahul to hit top of middle. You could literally sense those two early wickets coming if you have been following the trend recently. But you could also sense that Kohli won’t leave it open. He made sure Shaheen is not hitting his lengths anymore in that brilliant 3-over spell by walking down the pitch. SKY came out with a positive mindset to release some pressure, but Hasan Ali got him in the final over of the powerplay. Skipper Virat Kohli scored 57 of 49 balls and Rishabh Pant scored 39 of 30 balls. For Pakistan Shaheen Afridi pick 3 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Pakistan successfully chase the target and scored 152/0 in 17.5 overs and won the game by 10 wickets. This is first win for Pakistan in world cup. Right from the get-go, India’s defence of 152 looked awry, when Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded a four and a six off the 2nd and 3rd balls. The spinners lacked penetration and panicked with their trajectories; and the fast bowlers simply couldn’t buy a wicket despite a slew of good yorkers but were simply unable to build the pressure, and were perhaps unnerved by the historically uncharacteristic calmness exuded by the only two batsmen Pakistan needed to take their side home convicingly with 13 balls to spare. Mohammad Rizwan scored 79* of 55 balls and skipper Babar Azam scored 68* of 52 balls. No any Indian bowlers pick any wickets.
