New Zealand scored 172/4 in their 20 overs. That is a top effort from New Zealand, especially after having recorded their lowest powerplay score of the tournament. Their captain had a sedate comp till today, but once Hazlewood gave him that lifeline on 17 with the catch, he put on a proper, classy show. Honestly, 172 on a dry pitch with two quality spinners in Sodhi, Santner, you would even say they have got just above-par if we don’t have dew. Australia chased down the target by scoring 173/2 in 18.5 overs and become T20 champion for the first time. Marsh goes berserk in celebration, a flood of emotions from the years past.
