Team India won ODI series against England-cricketmovie.com

Royal London Series 2022: First ODI series win for Team India in England after 2014. They won the 3rd and final ODI against England by 5 wickets and won the series by 2-1 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

3rd ODI (India Vs England)
Game Date: 17th July 2022
Details:
India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss again and elected to field first in the 3rd and final ODI against England at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. Mohammed Siraj is playing today in the place of injured Jasprit Bumrah while England team remain unchanged for this game.

England bowled out for 259 runs in 45.5 overs after batting first. They have disappointingly waste 25 balls in their innings and have been bowled out for 259. But they will justify saying that’s how they play all-out aggression. Earlier, Siraj set the tone as he came in for the injured Bumrah and got both Bairstow and Root out in his first-over. The counterattack started from Roy and Stokes but both fell to Pandya who had a great day with the ball fully exploiting the batters’ urge to go after his short ball. And he struck gold as England died to that strategy. Buttler meanwhile curbed his aggressive instincts to knuckle down and when Livingstone was opening out against the short ball of Pandya, it looked ominous. But both Buttler and Livingstone fell to two fine catches in the same over off Pandya as Jadeja excelled on the field. Then Willey and Overton added 48 and seemed to be taking England towards the 300-mark before Chahal came on and ended the innings quickly. Will those 25 unused deliveries come back to haunt England? They defended 246 by 100 in the last game, but today might not be all that easy. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 60 runs of 80 balls and Jason Roy scored 41 runs of 31 balls. For Team India, Hardik Pandya picks 4 wickets for 24 runs in his 7 overs.

Team India chased down the target successfully by scoring 261/5 in 42.1 overs and won the game by 5 wickets. An incredible turnaround here at Old Trafford as India have risen from a difficult situation to cruise to the target. Big smile on the face of Rishabh Pant out there who’s being congratulated by opposition and teammates alike. A terrific knock today from him, getting to his first ODI hundred, and eventually getting his team home in a blaze with some eight overs to spare. But don’t forget Pandya’s role in it. He was outstanding first with the ball, and then with the bat. Pant was actually the more subdued of the two as they went about trying to rebuild the innings from 72/4. But Pandya’s timing was on fire the minute he walked out. The two were involved in a stand of 133 for the fifth wicket, and by the time Stokes pulled off a good catch diving forward to dismiss Pandya on 71, India were just 55 away. And Pant made a mockery of that, even hitting five boundaries in an over before finishing it off with a reverse-sweep. We’ve already seen him do special things in Test cricket in his very young career, and now he’s arrived in the ODIs. His glovework is only getting better and better as well. The only one missing chances with the gloves today was Buttler, who could’ve possibly had a stumping chance off Pant early in his innings but failed to collect the ball. Pant made England pay dearly. Rishabh Pant scored 125* of 113 balls and Hardik Pandya scored 71 runs of 55 balls. For England, Reece Topley picks 3 wickets for 35 runs in 7 overs.
