Team India scored 167/6 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. 30 off the last two overs. India have the momentum but Zimbabwe would feel they can chase this down. At the toss Raza felt that the wicket would get better while chasing. Coming to this innings, the top three fell early but Samson and Parag stabilised the innings. The former played a few delightful hits for six and was the standout batter in the innings. Just when he was looking to end on a high, he fell to a good catch at deep mid-wicket. Dube at the end played a fine cameo to take India over 150 and Rinku Singh helped it over 160. Once again Muzarabani the pick of the Zimbabwean bowlers but the fielding was a mixed bag, couple of fine catches but three drops as well and fumbles in the outfield. Zimbabwe need to tighten up there. Sanju Samson scored 58 runs of 45 balls and Shivam Dube scored 26 runs of 12 balls. For Zimbabwe, Muzarabani picked 2 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Zimbabwe unable to chase the target and bowled out for 125 runs in 18.3 overs. Another convincing win for the visitors. After losing their top three inside the powerplay, they managed to post 167 on the board, thanks to Samson’s half-century and cameos from Dube and Rinku. In reply, Zimbabwe lost two quick wickets as Mukesh Kumar struck twice in two overs with the new ball. He cleaned up Myers as well in his 3rd over but that turned out to be a front foot no-ball. Myers and Marumani took the attack to Bishnoi but the left-handed openers was trapped lbw by Washington Sundar. Even though the asking rate was increasing, Zimbabwe were in the hunt at the halfway stage. But the hosts lost a flurry of wickets as they slipped from 85/3 to 94/7 which also included Raza’s run-out. Faraz Akram played a little gem but his 13-ball 27 only helped in Zimbabwe reducing their margin of defeat. Dion Myers scored 34 of 32 balls and Faraz Akram scored 27 runs of 13 balls. For Team India, Mukesh Kumar picked 4 wickets for 22 runs in his 3.3 overs.
