Story: It is the story of a badass working in the red sandalwood smuggling industry. In the forest of Seshachalam, the smuggling of red sandalwood goes unabated. The red sandalwood is cut from here and taken illegally to Chennai from where it is shipped to China and even further to Japan. Pushparaj (Allu Arjun) is one of the many coolies who chop down red sandalwood illegally and sell it by the kilo to powers-that-be.
When DSP Govindappa (Shatru) raids them in the forest, Pushpa smartly hides and recovers the stock, thereby gaining the trust of his employer Konda Reddy (Ajay Ghosh) along with his brothers Jolly Reddy (Dhanunjay) and Jakka Reddy. With the help of novel ideas to smuggle the red sanders, Pushpa quickly rises through the ranks and becomes Konda Reddy’s partner in the red sanders smuggling network.
On the other hand, Pushpa falls for Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna) who runs a milk business. Meanwhile, Konda Reddy sells the red sandalwood to Mangalam Srinu (Sunil). Srinu and his wife Dakshayani (Anasuya Baradwaj) is the one who gets the consignment safely to Chennai. Pushpa learns that Srinu earns as much as Rs. 2 crore for every ton of red sandalwood that he sells to Murugan at Chennai port. However Srinu pays just Rs. 25 lakhs per ton to Konda Reddy.
Pushpa suggests to Konda Reddy that Srinu should insist that he should be paid more. Konda Reddy is apprehensive as he feels it’ll strain his relations with Srinu. Hence, he sends Pushpa to talk to Srinu. At Srinu’s place, all goes wrong and it signals the beginning of a long bloodbath between the two gangs and later he deals directly with Murugan and gets 1.5crore deal. He also knows the importance of Red sandalwood and suggest MLA Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu (Rao Ramesh) who declares Pushpa as head of the syndicate. And right as he gets where he wants to be in life, in comes IPS Bhanwar Singh Shekawat (Fahadh Faasil) threatening to upend the carefully constructed order that Pushpa has put in place.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on it’s digital premiere because always loved Allu Arjun movies.
Pushpa The Rise is first part of two parts film which is based on the smuggling of red sander trees in Seshachalam forest, Andhra Pradesh, Pushpa tells the story of a lorry driver who is part of the illegal business and how he become the head of the syndicate.
Story is very interesting. Since there are three tracks in the story Pushpa’s rise in his business, his family track, and the romantic track and it moves at a fast pace and doesn’t give the audience any time to think. While the red sandalwood business track affords little scope for emotions, the other two tracks have a lot of emotional value. The twists and turns in the drama are fantastic and keep the audience interest alive throughout. There are several scenes which touch the core of the viewer’s heart for their emotional value.
Director biggest victory is the manner in which he has made an action thriller and added dollops of emotions and a fine dash of romance to it to make it a wholesome entertainer. Special mention should also go to dubbing director Abul Hasan Ansari as the dub has been carried out very neatly. Overall film is a paisa vasool entertainer and rests on Sukumar’s expert direction, action and Allu Arjun’s starry presence. My view on this movie Highly Recommended.
