Ms. Marvel Episode 1 Review: An enjoyable start of new superhero journey with an entertaining set of characters
Ms. Marvel Episode 1 Web Series Review: 3.5 stars
Just watched Ms. Marvel Episode 1 in Hindi on Disney Plus Hotstar. Let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Story: This mini-series based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. It is the seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The series will serve as set-up for the film The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan along with additional cast members from the series.
Episode 1 begins with the introduction of Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) who is fangirl of the Avengers, particularly Captain Marvel. She lives with her controlling mother Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff), her slightly more relaxed dad Yusuf (Mohan Kapur) and her wisecracking sibling Aamir (Saagar Shaikh).
After failing another driving test and meeting with school counselor Gabe Wilson, Kamala and her best friend Bruno Carrelli (Matt Lintz) complete her Captain Marvel cosplay for “AvengerCon” while avoiding her strict parents. She receives a package from her grandmother containing a golden bangle, which her mother sees as junk. After attempting and failing to convince her parents to let her go to AvengerCon, she sneaks out and attend with Bruno and takes the bangle for her cosplay.
After getting there, she puts it on, but it causes her to shoot energy constructs, causing havoc. Bruno rushes Kamala home, where a distraught Muneeba pleads with her to focus on her own story and grounds her. In a mid-credits scene, Department of Damage Control (DODC) agents P. Cleary and Sadie Deever watch a video of Khan’s incident at AvengerCon and head to New Jersey to find and detain her. Watch the 2nd episode on 15th June 2022 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer planned to watch the each episodes on its premiere date because of new superhero story and its connection to Captain Marvel next movie which will release in 2023.
A 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school student from Jersey City who is an aspiring artist and avid gamer, and writes superhero fan fiction about heroes such as Captain Marvel. Khan gains the ability to harness cosmic energy and create constructs from a magical bangle.
Based on its premise, the show is clearly aimed at a younger demographic, mirrored in the distinctive visual look that immediately separates it from most MCU fare. It has an upbeat tonality that will undoubtedly appeal to newer audiences who enjoy the fun aspects of the MCU but aren’t necessarily interested in its darker themes. The central narrative is built around a coming-of-age journey. Kamala is presented as an upbeat yet socially awkward kid stuck in the fantasy land of her imagination. The show’s charm comes from its offbeat visuals and the cast, who are all engaging in their respective roles while bringing a fun energy to the screen.
While there are discrepancies in how Ms Marvel discovers her powers in this series compared to her comic book origins, we’ll need to wait to see how they play out over the upcoming episodes. For now, though, series is off to an enjoyable start with an entertaining set of characters and a colourful visual language which should keep audiences coming back for more. My view on this series Recommended
