Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this web-series, planned to watch this series in my free time as loved the trailer.
The story of an empathetic advocate in his fight for justice. We follow Lakhan on his journey to become a respected lawyer while facing prejudice for being the illegitimate child of the biggest lawyer in the city.
Courtroom dramas have a unique allure, presenting viewers with diverse cases and gripping courtroom battles that keep them invested. This characteristic is cleverly used by the show to keep the viewer’s attention. The first episode sets up the premise and the characters of the series in an engaging way, though the series is filled with clichés and predictable plot twists, I did not feel bored even for a second because of the funny and humorous dialogues, they try to be funny so hard that it works most of the time. The series is a mix of genres because it balances the serious and the humorous aspects of Lakhan’s life. It also has elements of struggle and compassion that add to the drama and the entertainment value. I loved Lakhan’s deep interaction with his mother when they talked about his career and his father, the writers handled it in a good way.
Makers have managed to create a light-hearted comedy-drama that piques curiosity. However, the pacing seems to be a point of contention. With only three episodes released so far, the main case’s arc and the conflicts between Lakhan, his father, and his half-brother are still in the early stages of development. This feature leaves room for further exploration in future episodes. The performances of the cast are believable. The show’s setting in Lucknow is well-executed, creating an immersive backdrop. However, the story sometimes takes convenient turns to develop, potentially affecting the depth of the narrative.
Overall, series is good one-time watch as it manages to strike a balance between thrill and comedy. Despite predictable and convenient turns, it’s a binge watch episode lasting less than half an hour only. My view on this web-series is Recommended if you are Ravie Dubey or like lighthearted dramas.
