Story: Film is a curious tale which is based on true events. In 2016, on social media was flooded with images of a few currency notes marked with a note in blue ink “Sonam Gupta bewafa hai” and at that time every one was very curious to know about Sonam Gupta and this news was even highlighted in the news channel as well.
Film is Set in the small town of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh where our hero Sintu (Jassie Gill) is the pampered son of his middle-class parents (Atul Srivastav and Vibha Chibber) because Pandit ji from Mathura told that he will become very rich in future. Despite being twenty-eight years old and twelfth passed his mother fascinates him marrying a fair, rich, smart and fabulous girl.
On the other hand Sonam Gupta (Surbhi Jyoti) is only daughter of her parents (Rajendra Kala and Neelu Kohli) because Pandit ji predicted that she will fame their name in country and abroad. Sintu has a crush on Sonam who studied in college from his locality and follows her every day.
Finally after few days Sintu and Sonam started dating each other. Sonam is a smart and conniving lass who cons Sintu into believing that she loves him too. And feigning that her parents would not accept his proposal she cajoles Sintu to elope with her. On the marriage day she didn’t come and making Sintu believe that she is unfaithful. How he copes with life and what happen next is all about this movie.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in free time as trailer of this film looks good and it is based on real incident.
Movie is based on a real incident where Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai was written on a currency note and it immediately went viral. Set in a small town in Uttar Pradesh, it is about a young man, Sintoo who falls in love with Sonam Gupta, the town’s heartbeat and a girl way out of his league.
Film opens on good note and first hour was quite good and keep me engaged but last half is totally unbearable as story changes the tracks completely. Director fails to highlight the charm of small-town love stories and the nuances in the relationship that begin with the premise of forever. It does not work on the cerebral level as the script does not provide enough meat for the cardboard characters with greeting card complexities. It could have been well made film if story could have been better. My view on this movie Not Recommended
