Karachi Test: Monumental effort by Pakistan to end the 2nd test as Draw against Australia. Now I am going to share day-to-day activity of this test match with all the details, records and milestones in my way.

Day 1.
Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first in the 2nd test against Pakistan at National Stadium, Karachi. Mitchell Swepson debut for Australia.

Australia scored 251/3 at day 1 stumps. Usman Khawaja scored brilliant century and playing on 127* runs. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali & Faheem Ashraf picks 1 wicket each.

Australia scored 505/8 at day 2 stumps. Usman Khawaja scored 160 runs and Alex Carey scored 93 runs. For Pakistan, Sajid Khan & Faheem Ashraf pick 2 wickets each.

Day 3.
Australia declared their 1st innings on 556/9d. Usman Khawaja scored 160 runs and Alex Carey scored 93 runs. For Pakistan, Sajid Khan & Faheem Ashraf pick 2 wickets each.

Pakistan bowled out for 148 in their first innings but Australia didn’t enforce follow-on. Skipper Babar Azam scored 36 runs and Nauman Ali scored unbeaten 20* runs. Mitchell Starc pick 3 wickets for Australia.

Australia scored 81/1 on Day 3 stumps and they have now lead of 489 runs with 9 wickets in hands. I think decision of batting again is not required and they should have follow-on. It will be interesting to see what target they are setting.

Day 4.
Australia declared their 2nd innings on 97/2d and set the target of 506 runs for Pakistan. Usman Khawaja scored unbeaten 44* runs and Marnus Labuschagne scored 44 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi & Hasan Ali picks 1 wicket each.

Pakistan scored 192/2 in their 2nd innings. They need another 314 runs while Australia need 8 wickets to win this test match. Skipper Babar Azam scored brilliant century and unbeaten on 102*.

PAK: 148 & 192/2 on day 4 stumps

Day 5.
Pakistan scored 443/7 in their 2nd innings and ends the game as draw. Skipper Babar Azam scored brilliant 196 runs and Mohammad Rizwan scored 104*. For Australia, Nathan Lyon pick 4 wickets.

PAK: 148 & 443/7

Stats
Babar Azam become only Pakistani batter to face 400+ deliveries in the 4th innings of a Test joins Michael Atherton, Herbert Sutcliffe and Sunil Gavaskar.

Babar Azam 196 runs is now scored the highest runs by a Pakistan player in the 4th innings surpasses Younis Khan‘s 171* against Sri Lanka in Pallekele in 2015.
