Ispahani ODI Series 2021: Bangladesh clean sweep Zimbabwe in 3-match ODI series after winning the 3rd and final ODI by 5 wickets. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

3rd ODI (Zimbabwe Vs Bangladesh)
Game Date: 20th July 2021
Details:
Bangladesh Captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss again and opt to bowl first in the 3rd and final ODI against Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe all out for 298 runs in 49.3 overs after batting first. That’s a much better batting performance by Zimbabwe. Where was this Zimbabwe missing in the first two ODIs of the series? Perhaps the ploy to move Chakabva up the order was a masterstroke. He notched up his highest ODI score ever and laid the foundation for others to capitalize on. And didn’t the lower middle order batsman make the most out of it! Sikandar Raza notched up a solid fifty and Ryan Burl played a fantastic knock where he took on Saifuddin, scoring plenty against him. Mahmudullah and Shakib claimed three wickets amongst themselves and they were quite economical too. Not a great day for Saifuddin who conceded 87 runs in 8 overs, but those three wickets in his final over must give him some confidence. He would like to leave a mark if given a chance with the bat. Regis Chakabva scored 84 of 91 balls and Ryan Burl scored 59 of 43 balls. For Bangladesh Saifuddin and Mustafizur pick 3 wickets each.

Bangladesh chased down the target successfully by scoring 302/5 runs in 48 overs and won the game by 5 wickets and series by 3-0. That’s a dominating performance by Bangladesh. There were times they looked out of control, like the all-out assault from Raza and Burl and the wickets of Tamim and Mahmudullah after the second drinks break. Other than that, however, they have shown that every player in the line up is up to it. Every player has made it count, taken on the weak links in the opposition, converted ones into twos, and shown immense determination even after wrapping up the series in the previous fixture. It all began with a beautiful hundred by Tamim, his 14th in ODIs, and despite a bit of panic in the middle overs, and a jittery innings from Mithun, Nurul Hasan and Afif Hossains Nos. 6 and 7 carried Bangladesh over the finish line with panache. That’s the new Bangladesh. No half-measures, no complacency. They’ve finished the task, and they can be mighty pleased with themselves. Zimbabwe however, after an impressive recovery in their batting innings, were below par with the ball, with TIripano spraying it all over the place and not quite delivering what is expected of him. Zimbabwe bowled 20 wides today not too many more than the opposition, but perhaps this is an aspect both sides need to look at and improve upon. Skipper Tamim Iqbal scored 112 of 97 balls and Nurul Hasan scored 45* of 39 balls. For Zimbabwe Tiripano and Madhevere pick 2 wickets each for their team.
