Australia captain Tim Paine won the toss in the 2nd test against India and decided to bat first at MCG. They are remained unchanged for this game.
Team India made 4 changes for this test match and included Ravindra Jadega, Rishabh Pant, Debutant Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj in place of Virat Kohli, Wriddhiman Saha, Prithivi Shaw and injured Mohammed Shami.
Mohammed Shami is ruled out of this test series due to his fracture while Virat Kohli will not play this series due to paternity leave and Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team in this series.
