Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in my free time as trailer is good in parts and its releasing on OTT.

The film revolves around two love stories: one between a young couple and the other, their respective widowed parents, who are also former lovers dreaming of tying the knot. However, the family’s conservative matriarch is against both the couples’ inter-community relationships and the prospect of stepsiblings as husband and wife. Will the couples find a happy ending?

Ghudchadi story does not have even a hint of novelty. Everything in the story has been seen in some film or the other and, therefore, the story completely lacks the excitement quotient. It is so predictable that one can guess every single scene of the drama. Obviously, the proceedings, therefore, fail to involve or engage the viewers. If the comedy is half-baked, the emotions absolutely fail to touch the heart. Binoy K. Gandhi’s direction is not up to the mark. He has narrated the routine script in such a manner that it fails to excite the audience.

The film also attempts to explore progressive ideas like love transcending societal norms, but the approach relies on tropes, diluting the impact. The movie’s core conflicts are inter-community romance and unconventional family dynamics are resolved through convenient plot twists that feel farfetched. This kind of relationship between father and son and the banter between them creates a ridiculous situation which audiences cannot digest. There is no scene that can bind you or make you curious. There is not a single song in the film that is memorable. The music does not help in taking the story of the film forward, rather it makes it even weaker.

Overall If you are in for a harmless family entertainer with a few unintelligent jokes thrown in, movie might just be the perfect weekend watch for you else ignore it. The film may not resonate with viewers seeking something new or poignant. My view on this movie Not Recommended.
