Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in cinema on release date as loved the trailer and liked previous 2 movies of this franchise.

Choocha inadvertently challenges Bholi Punjaban in an election for the legislative assembly. But when he and Hunny end up with a gift to create petrol, it lands them in trouble with the water mafia. Will they get out of the pickle?

Fukrey 3 story is crazy but very entertaining. There are a number of scenes in which the audience would laugh gleefully. The excessive toilet humor might irritate one section among the viewers but there will be many who would not mind that too. All in all, the craziness of the drama would go down well with the audience as it is completely in synch with the flavors of the Fukrey franchise. Direction is very competent. He knows what his audience wants in a Fukrey franchise film, and he delivers. The gags and quirky one-liners evoke laugh-out-loud moments at regular intervals and keep the entertainment quotient intact. But what separates the third film from the earlier two is the storyline, which has the thread to keep the interest intact. While most comedies are gag and dialogue driven, it is among the rare which also works due to the situations created in the story which leads itself to some dramatic moments too. Over and above the one-liners, the standout sequences from Fukrey 3 include the introduction act at the TV shop, the airplane sequence, the pre-interval block, the episode of Choocha and Bhooli’s wedding followed by Lali’s tea preparation gag, and the entire humorous turn of events in the water park in the climax. Varun Sharma displays his impeccable comic timing and is effortless throughout the film’s 2 hours and 30 minutes. Besides him, it’s Pankaj Tripathi who shines in his role.

On the flipside, the pre-climax is too serious and looks out of place in a laugh-a-minute-riot like this film. The ending is simplistic. Initially, you think the story will be about who among Choocha and Bholi will be elected. Instead, it turns out to be about the latter’s vile ways to defeat the former, stuffing in a love triangle, kidnapping, and how the fukreys try to save themselves from a water mafioso who wants to exploit their gift to make petrol. Some sequences are funny, but many are overstretched, over-the-top, and do not complement the overall narrative. The biggest drawback of Fukrey 3 is the music album, which just fails to deliver. There is an undercurrent of social message in the second half with regards to water conservation and this could have been cut short. The entire track around a South African girl, Mumbasa, falling in love with Choocha is also forced into the narrative and doesn’t land well. The same can be said for Manu Rishi Chadha’s track in the second half.

Overall, movie is entertaining laughter comedy packages the film with well-integrated gags and quirky one-liners. Varun Sharma as Choocha is a show-stealer bringing the house down with laughter. It is a light-hearted film for those who love comedies. It’s also a story of friendship that will touch your heart as well as make you laugh aloud. My view on this movie Highly Recommended.
