England tour of India 2021: Team India won first ODI by 66 runs against England and lead the series 1-0 with 2 more ODI to go at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Now I will share the details of this final game match in my way.

1st ODI (India Vs England)
Game Date: 23rd March 2021
Details:
England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opt to field first in the 1st ODI against India. Team India includes two debutants Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna.

India scores 317/5 in their 50 overs after batting first. Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul have lifted India’s fortunes in thunderous fashion after it looked like they had lost their way. Krunal, on debut, and Rahul on the back of a miserable T20I series, took England apart in those final 10 overs which produced 112 runs. Things were set up nicely by Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli earlier on a pitch that offered movement with the new ball along with good pace and bounce. But India lost their way, losing wickets in a hurry after that partnership was broken. This finish just came out of nowhere really with Krunal suddenly starting to time everything right off the middle upon his arrival to the crease. Shikhar Dhawan scored 98 of 106 balls and KL Rahul scored 62* of 43 balls. For England Ben Stokes pick 3 wickets for 34 runs in his 8 overs.

England unable to chase the target all out for 251 runs and lost the game by 66 runs. India win by a margin of 66 runs which is barely believable after the rollicking opening partnership England had. Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy put on 135 in a little over 14 overs and at the time they made the target of 317 look insufficient. But their innings came crashing down once debutant Prasidh Krishna found a way through. They lost 10 wickets within 116 runs from there, with all off India’s seamers coming to the party. Jonny Bairstow scored 94 of 66 balls and Jason Roy scored 46 of 35 balls. For India debutant Prasidh Krishna pick 4 wickets for 54 runs in his 8.1 overs.
