On a pitch that left everyone guessing, their opening woes continued and they lost two wickets in the PowerPlay. Iyer and Pant found it difficult to get going as the runs were hard to come by. MI‘s bowlers kept asking questions and also stemmed the run-flow. Chahar got rid of Iyer in his first over and post that, it was a mere collapse for Delhi. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and hit a road-block. Bumrah and Boult were the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai with three wickets each. Poor shot selection and lack of application is the primary cause for this debacle from the Capitals. Shreyas Iyer scored 25 runs of 29 balls and Rishabh Pant scored 21 runs of 24 balls. Mumbai Indians successful chased down the target with 14.2 overs. MI started off very good note and 50+ partnership and after that Kishan done the formality and hit the winning six for the team and also ensures his team will finish in top 2 for the play-offs. Ishan Kishan scored 72* runs 47 balls and Quinton De Cock scored 26 in 28 balls. For DC Nortje picks 1 wickets for 25 runs in 2.2 overs

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to MI for their clinical win and confirmed their top 2 slot for the play-offs. Brilliant bowling by all MI bowlers from beginning till the end and restrict DC for just 110/9 in their 20 overs. In batting MI starts was very good and Ishan Kishan finish the game with six. Now MI ensures they will be in top 2 for the play-offs.
Delhi Capitals have lost their fourth game on the bounce. And they have RCB to come their final game. Definite problems to address in that batting department. Their batting machinery has creaked and groaned from last 4 games, before going completely kaput today against some spin and fast bowling. And this comes at a very tricky time in the tournament, where they can’t really make any drastic changes. Rishabh Pant is not in good form after his comeback. The DC have just crashed to their fourth successive defeat 88 runs, 59 runs, and 5 wickets and 9 wickets in reverse-chronological order. They really need to work in their batting and win the last game at any cost to qualify for the play-offs
