MI won by 5 wickets-cricketmovie.com

Dream11 IPL Match 48: MI become first team to qualify for the playoffs after beating RCB by 5 wickets. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

48th Game (Mumbai Indians Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Game Date: 28th Oct 2020
Details:
Mumbai Indians stand-in captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and elected to field first in the 48th game of IPL 2020. MI included Quinton De Cock, James pattinson, Trent Boult and Kieron Pollard as four foreign players for this game. No changed in playing team. Pollard is captain of MI today in absence of injured Rohit Sharma.

Four foreign players of RCB for this game was Dale Steyn, AB de Villiers, Chris Morris and Josh Phillipe. Three changes in playing XI as they have included shivam Dube, Dale Steyn and Josh Phillipe in place of Injured Navdeep Saini, Moeen Ali and Aaron Finch.

Royal Challengers Bangalore scores 164/6 in their 20 overs. It was an innings of two halves, and even though the numbers may not agree whole-heartedly, the first half certainly belonged to the youthful exuberance of Padikkal and Josh Phillippe. They carted the bowlers to all parts, before Chahar‘s chicanery accounted for the latter. In fact, here’s another little factor that won’t quite reflect in the numbers as Chahar certainly shook big ABD‘s game today, before Pollard came in and snatched the reward with a full-toss. The second half was a sugar-crash for the RCB, who lost Kohli and Paddikal in one over from Bumrah. Gurkeerat and Washington did all they could to get RCB to a total that may be just about par. Devdutt Padikkal scored 74 of 45 balls and Josh Philippe scored 33 of 24 balls. For MI Jasprit Bumrah picks 3 wickets for 14 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Mumbai Indians successful chased down the target with 5 bowls to spare. MI started off on a restraint note and lost 2 wickets in quick succession after slow start but once Surya had his eyes in, he got boundaries at will. He looked classy and panache-laden and get good support from Pandaya brothers at the end. Suryakumar Yadav scored 79* runs 43 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 25 in 19 balls. For RCB Siraj and Chahal picks 2 wickets each.

RCB: 164/6 in 20 overs
MI: 166/5 in 19.1 overs

Result: Mumbai Indians won by 5 wickets
Man of the Match: Suryakumar Yadav

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to MI for their clinical win and become first team to qualify for the playoffs. Bowling in first half was not good for MI bowlers but they come back brilliantly in 2nd half and restrict RCB for below par score. At one time they were looking for big total. In batting MI starts was not good but again Suryakumar Yadav played blazing knock and hits the winning boundary. Now MI have 2 games left and they will try to win at-least 1 to ensure finish at no.1 position.

RCB didn’t finish well and allowed MI to chase a below par score. till 15th over game was in their control and set for big total but Pollard takes the wicket of ABD and in next game Bumrah gets 2 wickets with maiden over and rest of batsmen unable to score runs at the end. The last five overs of RCB‘s batting and the nullification of Chahal by Suryakumar Yadav. Chahal usually hasn’t been this expensive despite managing a couple of wickets. Although this game will not impact on their chances for play-offs but they need to win next game to boost up their confidence
