Dettol T20 Series: India beat Australia by 6 wickets in 2nd T20 and takes an unassailable lead of 2-0. Now I will share the details of this T20 game match in my way.
2nd T20 (India Vs Australia)
Game Date: 6th Dec 2020
Details: India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first in the 2nd T20 game. They made three changes for this game and included Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal in place of injured Ravindra Jadeja, Manish Pandey and Mohammed Shami.
Australian Team also made three changes for the game and included Marcus Stoinis, Daniel Sams and Andrew Tye in place of injured Aaron Finch, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. Today Matthew Wade is leading the Australia in absence of injured Aaron Finch.
Australia scores 194/5 in their 20 overs which is very good score on this ground. Matthew Wade opens the side and smashed a good half century despite losing his partner in power play. Not just the power play actually, even on the whole, barring Natarajan, none of India’s bowlers had a particularly good day. Chahal, the hero from the other night, went the distance. Sundar came back well after his second over went for 15, but still went for 35. Nothing of note from the performances of Thakur and Chahar either. It’s days like these where India’s five-bowler combination stands exposed. After Wade’s explosive start, Smith anchored the innings while Stoinis and Henriques played cameos that were enough to propel Australia who scored 62 in the final 5 overs. Matthew Wade scored 58 runs of 32 balls and Steven Smith scored 46 runs of 38 balls. For India T Natarajan picks 2 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Team India Chased down the target successfully in 19.4 overs by scoring 195/4. They started off well and scored more than 50 runs in power plays. Soon as Rahul got out, Australia strangled India with spin and never let them off the hook. Perhaps Australia missed a trick by being too predictable today, the lines of their pacers and the lengths of spinners were of prime example. Needing 72 off the last 6 overs was tough task but Kohli batted really well and his dismissal Iyer played a important cameo. Hardik then took over the finishing duties and proved why he’s rated so highly in this format of the game and he did all this despite not being able to time the ball clean like he usually does. This game had all the ebbs and flows, but India held their nerve to extend their winning streak to 9 in T20Is . Shikhar Dhawan scored 52 runs 36 balls and Hardik Pandya scored 42* in 22 balls. For Australia Tye, Sams, Swepson and Zampa picks 1 wicket each.
Hardik Pandya seals it for #TeamIndia.
