Dark 7 White Web Series Review: This thriller is watchable for its layered storyline, twists and climax
Dark 7 White Web Series Review: 2.5 stars
Just watched Dark 7 White Web Series on Zee5 Premium. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.
Cast: Sumeet Vyas, Jatin Sarna, Monica Chaudhary, Taniya Kalra, Kunj Anand, Shekhar Chowdhary, Rachit Bahal, Nidhi Singh, Sanjay Batra, Ssanjay Swaraj
Director: Sattwik Mohanty, Preya Hirji
Release Date: 24th Nov 2020 (On ALTBalaji and Zee5 Premium)
Duration: 10 Episodes/ 20 Minutes
Story: Series is based on “Dark White” book written by Shweta Brijupria. Yuddhveer Singh (Sumeet Vyas) is upcoming and youngest CM of Rajasthan. He and his batch of college friends are ecstatic about the win. Yuddhveer goes on a victory lap along his fiancé Daisy (Nidhi Singh) before reaching his oath-taking ceremony. While he manages to quell a bunch of protesting angry youths with his smooth-talk, he gets killed even before he could sworn-in to the office.
His friends Neelakshi (Monica Chaudhary), Yogesh (Shekhar Choudhary), Kush (Kunj Anand), Tashi (Mudhurima Roy), Greshma (Tanya Kalra), Dhaval (Rachit Bahal) and Shashank (Sumit Singh) have been with him through thick and thin and now they are suspects of his murder.
When the investigating officer Abhimanyu Singh (Jatin Sarna) begins the task of finding out who killed Yudi, he understands that the case is more convoluted than he realizes. The suspects’ list keeps growing by the day, and each of his close circle has secrets to hide and a motive to kill. He even suspect Yudi grandfather Maharaja Shamsher Singh (Sanjay Batra). Any of them have murdered but who killed and why is all about this web series.
The credit must also go to Shweta Brijpuria for penning a novel with all the right ingredients. It establishes the fact loud and clear that Yuddhveer’s ascension to the CM throne has been wildly discussed. The story goes back and forth between 2009 to 2019 to establish how a spoilt Prince of a kingdom in Rajasthan got so interested in politics. The jump between the two timelines is done quite well and gets you involved in the proceedings.
Positives
1. Sumeet Vyas and a strong supporting cast which excellent performance
2. Story
3. Climax
Negatives
1. Dialogues
2. Mediocre Direction
3. Music
4. Unexplained Twists
Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Trailer of this web-series looks interesting and I was very impressed with thrill and twists and always planned to watch this wen-series.
The web series first episode kick starts with murder of youngest CM and lead actor like we have seen in Scared Games and then he narrates the story. With ample of amount of twists and turns in throughout you can easily consider this web series as time pass.
Overall a fast-paced show and engaging because of it’s performances and story. My view on this web-series is Time Pass which means if you have 3 hours you can spend on it else you easily skip it.
