In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Movies and Web-Series releasing in February 2022 on OTT and Cinemas. Now situation is again getting normal day by day after third wave of Covid-19and now cinemas are getting opened in multiple cities. Release date of multiple movies are announcing by makers and first big movie that will release in cinemas is Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and it will also set to clash with south superstar Ajith first PAN India film Valimai.
Clashes are certain to happen as Bollywood calendar is almost packed till next year but seems that again date changes are certain to happen. However, there are still many films whose announcements are yet to happen and in this case again producers may choose OTT for their movie release. For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema halls after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It will double bonanza for audiences as they can watch the films on OTT as well as cinemas of their choice.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month on OTT and Theatres:
1. Rocket Boys (Web-Series)
Release date: 4th February 2022 (Sony LIV)
Cast: Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Regina Cassandra and Saba Azad
Director: Abhay Pannu
Details: Story is based on the lives of nuclear physicists Homi J Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai. The series will dwell deeper into their personalities and lives to understand their greatness and relevance in today’s time. It will show how the two great physicists turned their dreams into reality and made great scientific discoveries.
2. Looop Lapeta (Movie)
Release date: 4th February 2022 (Netflix)
Cast: Tahir Raj Bhasin and Taapsee Pannu
Director: Aakash Bhatia
Details: promises to be an adventurous ride through a sticky situation where a girlfriend is on a mission to rescue her boyfriend.
3. The Great Indian Murder (Web-Series)
Release date: 4th February 2022 (Disney Plus Hotstar)
Cast: Pratik Gandhi, Richa Chadha, Sharib Hashmi, Paoli Dam, Amey Wagh and Ashutosh Rana
Director: Tigmanshu Dhulia
Details: It is an adaptation of author Vikas Swarup’s 2008 novel titled “Six Suspects” in which Pratik is playing the role of investigating officer.
4. Gehraiyaan (Movie)

Cast: Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor

Details: Alisha Khanna, 30, ambitious, now finds herself at a crossroads in life. 5. Badhaai Do (Movie)

Details: Instead of coming out, a gay man and a lesbian enter into a marriage of convenience to appease their parents. Raj will be essaying the role of a cop in a mahila police thana, Bhumi plays the role of a PT Teacher in the film.

Details: It revolves around Arjun, a police officer who is assigned to track down a group of outlaw bikers following their involvement in heinous crimes.
12. Gangubai Kathiawadi (Movie)
Release date: 25th February 2022 (Cinema)
Cast: Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Indira Tiwari and Varun Kapoor
Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Details: It is adapted from a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Ganga Harjivandas, a simple girl of Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace ways of destiny and swing it in her favour; the film shows how in no time she marks her own territory and turns Gangubai, a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura. 13. The Fame Game (Web-Series)

Cast: Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran and Muskkaan Jaferi

Details: This family drama is all set to take us on a rollercoaster ride through the highs and lows of the actress’s life revealing hidden truths and painful lies.
14. Love Hostel (Movie)
Release date: 25th February 2022 (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Bobby Deol, Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra

Details: Film traces the journey of a spirited young couple, being hunted by a ruthless mercenary. Witness these star-crossed lovers take on the entire world in search of their fairy-tale ending.
Durgesh Tiwary’s View : In my view Love Hostel, A Thursday and Gangubai Kathiawadi are the movies I am looking forward in the 2nd half.
