Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on its premiere day because I liked the first movie of this franchise and this one also looks good with excellent star-cast.
Badhaai Do story is progressive and the concept of the film is quite brave as it is about a cross-gay couple’s marriage. However screenplay is only good in parts but shaky though many places. Script is stretched in the middle portion of the film. Ideally the screenplay should have been shorter for a better impact. Also dialogues are conversational but lack punchlines.
Direction is very good deserves kudos as a film of such a topic needs to be treated sensitively. Itcomes out with flying colours as there’s nothing offensive or objectionable at all about LGBTQ community. However director doesn’t explain why Kabir lost interest in Shardul and what went wrong between them. Even Rimjhim’s character disappears in the middle. Thankfully the last 30-35 minutes are excellent and very moving and ends on a good note. My view on this movie Time Pass.
