Pakistan bowled out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs after batting first. What initially looked like a tense final has now almost turned into a one-sided game, unless India outdo their opponents with some harakiri. Sahibzada Farhan was a determined man. He took on Bumrah again, which many legends have tried and failed. Pakistan was actually off to a great start but this game in these conditions was always about how their batters handle India’s spinners and that’s exactly where the plot was lost. Read this stat – vs pace: 6.1 overs, 48 runs, 2 wickets and vs spin: 13 overs, 95 runs, 8 wickets. Kuldeep was the guy who turned it around – from 23 runs in his first two overs to 4/7 in his next two overs. Varun and Axar did a brilliant job as well keeping it not only tight but being penetrative as well. The moment Fakhar was gone, Pakistan totally lost it. Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 runs of 38 balls and Fakhar Zaman scored 46 runs of 35 balls. For Team India, Kuldeep Yadav picked 4 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Team India chased down the target in 19.4 overs by scoring 150/4 and won the game by 5 wickets. Phew! What a match! SKY can been seen wiping his forehead with a cloth and smile on his face. This was no one-sided affair like the previous meetings between these two sides. It ebbed and flowed and in the end it was India’s depth that outdid Pakistan. The law of averages caught up with Abhishek Sharma as he departed cheaply in the second over. SKY and Gill followed him back and India found themselves 20/3 in 4 overs. Samson walked out to the middle and steadied the innings with Tilak. The pair didn’t take many risks as they stitched a 50+ stand to bring India back into the contest. Abrar broke that partnership and Pakistan thought they were back in the game with the asking rate also touching 10rpo, but a poor 15th over from Rauf tilted it back in India’s favor with the duo of Tilak and Dube adding another 50+ stand. 10 needed off the final and Tilak struck the telling blow as he smashed Rauf for a six and almost sealed the game, leaving Rinku to hit the winning runs. Tilak Varma scored 69* of 53 balls and Shivam Dube scored 33 runs of 22 balls. For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf picked 3 wickets for 29 runs in his 4 overs quota.
