Nepal bowled out for 230 runs in 48.2 overs after batting first. If India look at the positives from their performance in the field then there were very few. The fielding was horrendous as they dropped three catches in the first five overs and there were plenty of fumbles. The bowling, apart from Jadeja, was also ordinary. But full credit to Nepal though. They played fearless cricket and have posted a total on the board. The openers made the most of the early reprieves and added a 65-run stand in quick time. They lost a few wickets after that but Aasif Sheikh held one end and got to his fifty. At 144/6, it seemed like India would bowl them out under 200 but Kami and Airee added a 50-run partnership. Kami struck a few blows towards the end and got them to the 230-mark. There was some rain during the innings and hence a delayed finish. But that also has slowed down the outfield and the ball was not travelling as it did early on. Over to India’s batters now to see this game through. Aasif Sheikh scored 58 runs of 97 balls and Sompal Kami scored 48 runs of 56 balls. For Team India, Ravindra Jadeja & Siraj picks 3 wickets each.

Team India chase down the target and by scoring 147/0 runs in 20.1 overs and won the game by 10 wickets. Due to rain revised target for India was 145 runs in 23 overs. Rohit and Gill had already scored 17 from 2.1 overs when rain interrupted the chase and once play resumed, the pair took their time and then unleashed. Rohit saw off the pacers Karan and Komi and then took a liking towards the spinners. He got to his fifty off just 39 balls while Gill got to his off 47. It was a nice outing for the duo as they chased the target with 17 balls to spare. Nepal tried their best but India’s superiority was just too much to handle for them. Rohit Sharma scored 74* of 59 balls and Shubman Gill scored 67* runs of 62 balls. For Nepal no bowlers picked any wickets.
A clinical performance with the bat from #TeamIndia! 👌 👌
