Team India scored 181/7 runs in 20 overs after batting first. The Indian openers responded by coming out all guns blazing today. Inserted to bat, India got off to a flier scoring 54 off the first five overs. Rohit and Rahul were dismissed in quick succession. India continued to be aggressive and lost wickets at regular intervals as the Pakistani spinners applied the brakes in the middle overs. Kohli was at his vintage best pacing his innings superbly to notch up a 36-ball fifty. Naseem Khan bowled an economical penultimate over and Haris Rauf threatened to do the same in the following over, but a couple of fielding errors from Fakhar ensured that India crossed 180. Looks like a belter and we could witness a thriller here. Virat Kohli scored 60 runs of 44 balls and skipper Rohit Sharma scored 28 runs of 16 balls. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan picks 2 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Pakistan chase the target by scoring 182/5 in 19.5 overs and won the game by 5 wickets. That dropped catch proved decisive as Asif Ali went big in the 19th over off Bhuvneshwar that yielded 19. Pakistan were favourites in the chase after Mohammad Nawaz‘s brilliant knock after being sent in at number four. His partnership with Rizwan put them ahead. They did threaten to drop the ball in the last five overs. The pendulum swing wildly. But they’ve finally done enough to get over the line. Mohammad Rizwan scored 71 of 51 balls and Mohammad Nawaz scored 42 runs of 20 balls. For Team India, all 5 bowlers pick 1 wicket each.
