Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie once released on OTT because trailer looks good for one time watch.
Kaalaiyan Aka Annaatthe is a panchayat president and loves his sister Thanga Meenakshi. One day, he decides to fix an alliance for her sister and asks her permission. She agrees at first but elopes a day before her wedding. The story then shifts to Kolkata, where Meenakshi faces trouble after trouble. But, her brother stands by her like a protective shield without her knowing it. What happened to her? Why is she facing problems? How does Kaalaiyan help her?
Annaatthe first half moves at a leisure pace with filmy brother-sister sentiment and needless comedy scenes bit film picks its pace after interval when story reached to Kolkata. Climax is also good after movie suffers because of it’s fast half as lengthy story and screenplay tests the patience. Overall film is good in parts only. My view on this movie Time Pass only if you are Rajinikanth fans.
