Just watched A Simple Murder Web Series on Sony LIV. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Story: It doesn’t play out as simply as the name suggests and that’s where the conflict lies. Series is about a couple Manish (Zeeshan) is trying to build his start-up while living off his wife Richa (Priya Anand). They were madly in love when they tied the knot four years ago, but Richa now believes Manish is a loser, who can’t give her the good life. Hence, bickering constantly occurs and has a extra-martial affair with his boss Rahul (Ayaz Khan).
A leading politician Pran Dawas’ daughter Priya (Tejasvi Singh) is on the run, eloping with her boyfriend Usmaan (Ankur Pandey). Pran values his position and public image over blood and seeks to end this mess at the earliest and give contract to kill her tp Pandit Ji (Yashpal Sharma) a priest who is actually a gangster. He decides to hand over the task to his henchman (Sushant Singh). But the assignment is by mistakenly handed over to Manish.
But Manish ends up killing another woman, who happened to be the girlfriend of the seasoned criminal Santosh (Amit Sial). If this wasn’t enough, Manish also steals a huge sum from her house. Now, Santosh is hellbent on finding the culprit and retrieving the money. A couple of bickering cops (Gopal Dutt and Vikram Kochhar) add to the deadly fun. The deadly twists, laced with black comedy, that follow form the rest of the series.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Trailer of this web-series looks good and with such good cast expected a good series but it is very good and beyond my expectation.
Series is a decent attempt at storytelling that manages to satisfy the target audience. The black-comedy revolves around when a man, stuck in an unhappy marriage, finds himself in an unexpected situation following an unusual twist of fate. The hilarious exchange between Vikram Kocchar and Gopal Dutt is the icing on the cake.
Overall a fast-paced show and engaging till the end because of it’s performances and direction. My view on this web-series is Highly Recommended.
