The all-rounder’s brisk cameo ensured that CSK weren’t that affected by Faf’s golden duck and then, the Watson-Rayudu stand set it up for the final flourish. The duo’s dismissals in rather quick succession did help SRH to pull things back but cameos from Dhoni and Jadeja ensured that CSK a respective total on this tricky pitch. Sunrisers Hyderabad started chase on slow rate and lose 2 wickets in power play. It was that middle phase where CSK spinners squeezed in the dots, dried out boundaries and required run rate was increasing. Williamson tries hard from other end but it was not enough and they only able to score 147/8 in their 20 overs and lose the game 20 runs.Kane Williamson scored 57 runs 39 balls and Jonny Bairsrow scored 23 in 24 balls. For CSK Karn Sharma and Bravo picks 2 wickets each.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to CSK for their clinical win . Today sending Sam Curran as a opener works for them and middle order able to capitalize the start and they were able to score good amount of runs in death overs. Bowlers did the great job and this complete team effort works in their favor as they were totally dependent on their openers till previous game and still their chance to enter in top is alive but need to perform consistently in further games.
For SRH bowling is still the biggest concern and they are badly missing the service of Bhuvneshwar Kumar who is out of this season due to injury. Till 15th over SRH had total control on the game but death bowling didn’t work for them and today even their key bowlers given away plenty of runs. Batting was also poor from top and middle only Williamson shines. They need to improve in both batting and bowling else play-off will be tough for them.
