In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Movies and Web-Series releasing in September 2022 on OTT and Cinemas. After a minimum releases in the last month, we have good number of releases in both cinemas and OTT. Bollywood is going through the worst phase as maximum movies are either getting flops or disasters. Even superstars are not able to given clean hits. All eyes on Ranbir Kapoor starrer “Brahmastra” and
Other one is Hrithik Roshan starrer “Vikram Vedha” as only these movies can revive the industry again which badly need big hits. However, there are still many films whose announcements are yet to happened because of the conditions and producers are choosing OTT for their movie release. Big example is Akshay Kumar starrer “CuttPutlli“. For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema hall after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It will double bonanza for audiences as they can watch the films on OTT as well as cinemas of their choice.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month on OTT and Theatres:
1. CuttPuttli (Movie)
Release date: 2nd September 2022 on Disney Plus Hotstar
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet, Sargun Mehta and chandrachur singh
Director: Ranjit M Tewari
Details: Story revolves around a newly appointed police sub-inspector who goes after a notorious serial killer who targets teenage girls. However his mission soon comes at a terrible price.
2. Khuda Haafiz 2 (Movie)
Release date: 8th July in Cinemas & Digital Premium on 2nd September 2022 on Zee5 Premium
Cast: Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi
Director: Faruk Kabir
Details: Sameer and Nargis after overcoming all odds, find a ray of sunshine when little Nandini enters their lives and their family is complete; But their happiness is short-lived. In a bizarre twist of fate, Nandini goes missing. Finding their daughter is the only thing that matters to the new parents and Sameer will go to any length to protect his family.
3. Sita Ramam Hindi (Movie)

Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika, Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Bhumika Chawla, Vennela Kishore and Murli Sharma
Director: Hanu Raghavapudi
Details: Set in 1964, Lieutenant Ram, an orphan army officer serving at Kashmir border, gets anonymous love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi. Ram is on a mission to find Sita and propose his love.
4. Thor Love And Thunder (Movie)
Release date: 7th July 2022 in Cinemas & digital premiere from 8th September on Disney Plus Hotstar
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie portman., Chris Pratt and Christian Bale
Director: Taika Waititi
Details: Following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Thor attempts to find inner peace but must return to action and recruit Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster who has become the Mighty Thor to stop Gorr the God Butcher from eliminating all gods.
5. Brahmastra (Movie)
Release date: 9th September 2022 in Cinemas
Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy

Details: The film apparently is set in two timeframes. The main story is set in present times where Shiva, a young man with superpowers who travels 3000 years back in time to pre-Mahabharatha era to learn about weapons like Brahmastra in order to fulfil a mission in the present time.
6. Ek Villain Returns (Movie)
Release date: 29th July in Cinemas & digital premiere on 9th September 2022 on Netflix
Cast: John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria

Details: 8 years after Rakesh Mahadkar reigned terror on Mumbai, another serial killer has taken birth. More brutal and more dangerous but one that uses the same cover, the Smiley Mask. It is the story of two men in one sided love. The paths they choose to fulfill their love stories decide who the Hero is and who is the Villain.
7. Shiksha Mandal (Web-Series)
Release date: 15th September 2022 on MX Player
Cast: Gauahar Khan, Gulshan Devaiah, Pavan Raj Malhotra, Rajendra Sethi, Iram Badar Khan, Shivaani Singh, Jaihind Kumar and Kumar Saurabh

Details: Set in Bhopal, Shiksha Mandal is a story inspired by true events involving one of the biggest medical entrance exam scams in India. Aditya Rai discovers that his sister Vidya Rai was absent from her medical entrance test, while parallelly the STF is asked to take over an investigation seeking to make sense of the multiple odd crimes occurring in the city.
