Chennai Super Kings scored 156/6 runs their 20 overs. 69 runs in the last power plau and that could well be the momentum shift that the Kings needed. Faf, Moeen, Raina, Dhoni gone inside the powerplay with just 24 runs on the board. Add Ambati Rayudu retired hurt to that list too. Mumbai Indians were right on top with CSK in Test match mode, but Ruturaj got set with Jadeja in that partnership 81-run stand for the fifth wicket and then played the aggressor’s role. QdK did put down a tough chance, but it was a flawless knock otherwise. CSK were only 87/4 in 15 overs, but Ruturaj had a very calculative mind of reading the bowlers left for MI. Pollard had to fill in and he took a couple of important momentum yielding boundaries and then Ruturaj didn’t bother if it was Milne, Boult or even Bumrah. Special mention to DJ Bravo who played some delighful cover drives, in the air mostly. That 8-ball 23 gave CSK the extra push. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 88* of 58 balls and Ravindra Jadeja scored 26 of 33 balls. For DC Boult, Milne and Bumrah pick 2 wickets each.
Innings Break!
88* off 58 from Ruturaj Gaikwad propels #CSK to a total of 156/6 on the board.#MI chase coming up shortly.

Mumbai Indians unable to chase the target and scored 136/8 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 20 runs. MI needed was one big innings. But that’s where Dhoni shone through, with some funky fields, smart bowling changes, drying up the singles, tying up the batsmen. It’s no surprise, when there’s some juice in the pitch, he does these things. Chahar was brilliant in the powerplay, Bravo in the middle, Hazlewood in his second spell, and it did help their cause that Mumbai’s batsmen were keen to swing at everything. Saurabh Tiwary scored 50* of 40 balls and Quinton de Kock scored 17 of 12 balls. For CSK Dwayne Bravo pick 3 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.
