The Tomorrow War Review: Interesting take on future war with aliens
The Tomorrow War Movie Rating: 2.5 stars

Just watched The Tomorrow War movie on Amazon Prime Video. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Cast: Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Keith Powers
Director: Chris McKay
Release Date: 2nd July 2021 (On Netflix)

Story: Story begins in December 2022 where Dan Forester (Chris Pratt), an Iraq War veteran and biology teacher is watching the FIFA World Cup with his wife Emmy Forester (Betty Gilpin) and little daughter Muri (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). While watching the game they witness a wormhole materializing right in the middle of the field on TV, several people step out and claim they are from 2051 where the humanity is on the verge of extinction due to an alien invasion and request reinforcements.

Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. The world governments send their soldiers to the future in response, and learn that the survival rate is 20 per cent, which leads to compulsory conscription as clearly people would rather not barge right into the middle of an invasion by malignant aliens.

Dan drafted for the wars where he meets Charlie (Sam Richardson) who is a PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Dorian (Edwin Hodge) who is a cancer-stricken draftee on his third tour of duty. They landed to incorrect location where they instructed to take lab personnel before the area is sterilized.

Dan get instruction from none other than his grown up daughter Muri who is now Colonel Forester (Yvonne Strahovski). How Dan and Muri together fight with alien army is all about the movie.

Positives
1. Performances
2. Cinematography
3. Climax
4. Story

Negatives
1. Direction
2. Screenplay
3. Boring in 2nd half
4. lengthy

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the Hindi trailer of this film it looks interesting and planned to watch this film in my free time.

When the world is under attack by a deadly alien species in 2051, a group of time travelers jump to the present to warn humans of the impending doom. Now, civilians and soldiers, including war veteran Dan Forester must do whatever it takes to stop the extraterrestrial threat in the future.

It is neither very good or nor bad because if you have watched science fiction military actions films then you will get anything new so for this without much expectation. Film is embellished with some fine performances and the narration which give you a good time with alien fight with emotion as well. My view on this movie (Good Time Pass) if you are fan of interesting concepts and war movies.
