Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 171/5 runs their 20 overs. A game-changing final over? It was a gamble to give the final over to non-regular bowler and Stoinis ended up conceding 23 runs off it. Delhi Capitals started well with their pacers accounting for the RCB openers and reduced them to 36/2. Just when Maxwell started to look dangerous, he perished against nemesis Amit Mishra. The veteran leggie removed the Aussie all-rounder for the fifth time in IPL. Post that, Patidar and de Villiers steadied the ship with a brisk half-century. Avesh Khan was brilliant with his yorkers in the death overs and when it looked like RCB would end with a par score, the 20th over has probably ensured an above-par. Just AB things! Delhi Capitals unable to chased the target and lost the game just 1 run in the last ball thriller. Just another one. Another boringly close encounter. Another everyday humdinger. It didn’t start off very well for Delhi, particularly with their in-form openers falling cheaply for a change. Rishabh Pant, the newly-appointed captain, went against his instincts and tried to implement some damage control – but perhaps overdid it a little in what is still a nascent stage of his captaincy.
