Sandwiched Forever Web Series Review: Best sitcom series I have ever seen
Sandwiched Forever Web Series Review: 4 stars

Just watched Sandwiched Forever Web Series on Sony LIV. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Cast: Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Aahana Kumra, Atul Kulkarni, Zakir Hussain, Divya Seth Shah and Lubna Salim
Director: Rohan Sippy
Release Date: 25th Dec 2020 (On Sony LIV)
Duration: 15 Episodes/ 30 Minutes

Story: It is story of a young couple Naina (Aahana Kumra) and Sameer (Kunaal Roy Kapoor) starting out in life. It’s opposites attract for the two as Naina is feisty and full of life, would seem like the perfect foil for her absent-minded and admittedly lazy other half Sameer who is a game developer and currently WFH.

Naina and Sameer are very much in love, but their woe lies elsewhere their parents, who are doting but domineering, too. Things really get messed up for the duo when, following a bizarre twist of fate, Naina and Sameer end up living in an apartment flanked on either side by the residences of their respective parents.

On one side is the strict father of the bride Mr V. K. Sarnaik (Atul Kulkarni) who is an ex-army officer and a aura-reading mother Manjri (Lubna Salim). On the other side are the groom’s parents Mr Giriraj Shastri (Zakir Hussian) is an ex-scientist and plant lover and his mother Sanyukta (Divya Seth Shah) is a frigid divorce lawyer, whose hair is always pinned with flowers.

Positives
1. Kunal Roy Kapoor and supporting cast with excellent performance
2. Story
3. Direction
4. Screenplay

Negatives
1. Music
2. Length

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I had watched the trailer it looks interesting and different as normally only series are coming based on crimes and action but this is was first comedy web series and always planned to watch it.

It brings back an era of sitcoms that you would think got buried somewhere beneath loud family melodrama and toxic reality TV. The show harks back to a time when fun on the tube was a lazy deal, about simplistic characters playing out the simplified quirks of life in a feel-good set-up, with canned laughter for impact.

Overall a perfect binge watch on this new year. Best part is that you don’t need to finish in day you can enjoy whenever you have time. My view on this web series (Highly Recommended)
