MI qualify for the finals-cricketmovie.com

Dream11 IPL 2020 1st Qualifier: MI qualify for the finals after beating DC by 57 runs. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

1st Qualifier (Mumbai Indians Vs Delhi Capitals)
Game Date: 5th Nov 2020
Details:
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to field first in the 1st qualifier game of IPL 2020. DC included Kagiso Rabada, Marcus Stoinis, Daniel Sams and Anrich Nortjรฉ as four foreign players for this game. No changes in team for this game.

Four foreign players of MI for this game was Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Quinton De Cock and Nathan Coulter-Nile. Three changes in playing XI as they have included Trent Boult, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah in place of James Pattinson, Saurabh Tiwary and Dhawal Kulkarni.

Mumbai Indians scores 200/5 in their 20 overs which is very good score on this ground. Uninhibited class of QdK first up, along with a fluent fifty that managed to slow down time from Suryakumar despite losing the captain early. Then came a phase when they slid from 78-1 to 102-4, and Kishan and Pandya brothers steadied the ship and at the end finished the way MI known for they scored 78 runs in last 5 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 55* runs of 30 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 51 runs of 38 balls. For DC Ashwin picks 3 wickets for 29 runs in his 4 overs.

Delhi Capitals chased was very poor and lose 2 wickets Shaw and Rahane in first over of innings. Bumrah literally killed the game with a brilliant yorker to Dhawan next over. Iyer played optimistic cricket but hit one to hand and Pant has never been Pant this year. Stoinis stood tall and smashed as many as he could. Dew came in and Chahar struggled, Boult was off with a groin injury. Axar was supporting Stoinis really well, but it was just a matter of time as Bumrah returned to knock over poles to record his career-best T20 figures. Never a good sign if we are just going through the motions in a highly anticipated contest, but such was MI‘s dominance. Marcus Stoinis scored 65 runs 46 balls and Axar Patel scored 42 in 33 balls. For MI Bumrah picks 4 wickets for 14 runs in in his 4 overs

DC: 200/5 in 20 overs
DC: 143/8 in 20 overs

Result: Mumbai Indians won by 57 runs.
Man of the Match: Jasprit Bumrah

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to MI for their clinical win and qualify for the finals of this season. Despite losing the wicket of skipper early there was very good partnerships between QDK and Surya but after they lose quick wickets but Pandya and Ishan ensure explosive finish for what MI is known for. After that brilliant bowling by their main pacer and good support from rest of bowlers ensures MI reaches finals. A complete team effort and one more game win and back to back champions as well.

For Delhi Capitals only good thing is even after defeat they have will get another chance and will play against winner of tomorrow match that will be played between RCB and SRH. Definite problems to address in that batting department. Their batting machinery has creaked and groaned from last except last game. And this comes at a very tricky time in the tournament, where they can’t really make any drastic changes. Rishabh Pant poor batting is also a big concern as he is key player of the team. DC bowlers were very good in this tournament but their key bowlers Rabada and Nortje given away 92 runs in their 8 overs. So they need to ply their best game to qualify for the finals.

Stats
