Dream11 IPL Match 39: Massive win against KKR by 8 wickets takes RCB inches closer to playoff. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

39th Game (Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Kolkata Knight Riders)
Game Date: 21st Oct 2020
Details:
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first in the 39th game of IPL 2020. RR included Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins, Tom Banton and Lockie Ferguson as four foreign players for this game. Two changes in playing XI as they have included Tom Banton and Prasidh Krishna come in for of Shivam Mavi and injured Andre Russell.

Four foreign players of RCB for this game was AB De Villiers, Aaron Finch, Chris Morris and Isuru Udana. One change in playing XI and they have included Mohammed Siraj in place of Shahbaz Ahmed.

Kolkata Knight Riders scores 84/8 in their 20 overs which is lowest score for a team who played complete overs. Siraj was just too good against the team that struggled the most with the bat in the powerplay this season. He started off with two back-to-back wickets in his first over and sent KKR into shambles who tried to trace a path to recovery through their ex and current captain, but alas, DK‘s struggles against leg spin this season just got worse as Chahal picked him for the second time in as many games and to cap off RCB‘s dream day. Their reviews, fielding, bowling changes was spot on and never let KKR off the hook. Only captain Morgan show some intent and because of his valuable runs team able to cross 50 runs. Eoin Morgan scored 30 of 34 balls and Lockie Ferguson scored 19* of 16 balls. For RCB Mohammed Siraj picks 3 wickets for 8 runs in his 4 overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore chase was not an issue but they loose both openers. The batsmen put the finishing touches for the RCB, although they would’ve liked to see some runs from Finch which didn’t happen. Gurkeerat got to spend some time in the middle. In the end it was every bit of the cakewalk that it was expected to be, giving their NRR a huge boost. Devdutt Padikkal scored 25 runs 17 balls and Gurkeerat Singh Mann scored 21* in 26 balls. For KKR Lockie Ferguson picks 1 wicket for 17 runs in his 4 overs.

KKR: 84/8 in 20 overs
RCB: 85/2 in 13.3 overs

Result: Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 8 wickets
Man of the Match: Mohammed Siraj

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to RCB for their phenomenal win. Hats off to Siraj for his sensation and best bowling in the IPL in power plays and Special mention to their other bowlers who ensured his dream start wasn’t wasted. They have restricted opponent team for lowest score RCB need to focus on middle order batting as they have not performed good in this season. They are now inches closer to qualify for play-offs.

Kolkata Knight Riders find themselves within range of the chasing pack now. Their batting machinery has creaked and groaned throughout the season, before going completely kaput today against some excellent Test-match style bowling with a bit of swing on offer. And this comes at a very tricky time in the tournament, where they can’t really make any drastic changes. Much for Morgan to think about. Now play-offs is getting tougher for them as need to win at least 3 out of 5 next games with good run rate.
